Justin Sun, the CEO of Tron, teased the Tron community lately with a tweet claiming that Tron (TRX) may reach $409,000. Given that his blockchain network, Tron, has eclipsed EOS in terms of total Dapps for the first time, this tweet should not be taken lightly.

Nonetheless, as a CEO who is frequently embroiled in controversy, it’s tough not to believe this is just another of Justin Sun’s stunts.

Tron (TRX) Can Hit $409K

Justin Sun, the CEO of both Tron and BitTorrent, predicted that TRX would reach $409K in a tweet on January 9. On the other hand, Sun did not specify a timeframe and closed the tweet with an emoji.

It didn’t go over well with the cryptocurrency community on Twitter. This prediction was refuted by prominent expert Josh Rager, who stated that TRX is worth $0.

After US President Donald Trump successfully defused a potential military conflict with Iran on Wednesday, the US stock market soared to record highs. A day later, Trump wowed the crypto Twittersphere with a now-deleted post. As the stock market rose further, he tweeted to ask his fans how their 409Ks were doing. The problem was that Trump was referring to a 401(k) plan, which is a tax-advantaged retirement savings plan (k).

The CEO of Crypto.com, Kris Marszalek, joked on Twitter that BTC’s new objective is $409,000. This is most likely how Justin Sun arrived at his unrealistic TRX forecast.

Tron Network Surpasses EOS for Dapps

Tron has recently surpassed Ethereum as the second-largest blockchain for Dapps. According to Dapp Review, the Tron network currently has 637 active Dapps, officially surpassing the EOS network for the first time in history. There are currently 633 active Dapps on the EOS network. Tron Dapps, on the other hand, pale in comparison to the 2,146 Dapps on the Ethereum network.

Justin Sun, as expected, took to Twitter to proclaim his vast achievement.

Is Justin Just Bluffing?

Last year, Justin Sun’s reputation suffered a setback when he hyped a Warren Buffett lunch that never materialized. Furthermore, he pledged in mid-August the previous year to return Tron (TRX) and BitTorrent (BTT) to the top 10 and top 30 crypto rankings, respectively.

It’ll be fascinating; let’s see how this unfolds. TRX, on the other hand, has dropped out of the top ten and is now at number twelve. In contrast, BTT is ranked 65th. TRX has also lost 93.9 % of its value since its all-time high.

It’s clear that the TRX price hasn’t been sailing well, and it’s understandable that some crypto watchers assume this is yet another Sun scam.
